The municipality keeps data about its residents in the Basic Registration of PersonsBRP). If your personal data are not properly registered, you can ask the municipality to correct it. This is also called a correction request. You should submit this request to the municipality where you are registered.

For better and faster processing of your application, the municipality asks if you have:

• A document containing your erroneous data.
• An official document containing the correct information, for example, a marriage certificate.
