WS-2142-1 Letting pigeons fly out with DigiD

Progress

Important information

Allowing pigeons to fledge should not be done at any time. This is because in the spring, feral pigeons often cause damage to farmers' fields. Therefore, the municipality can set a period during which you must keep your pigeons inside so that hunters can thin out the number of feral pigeons. This period can last a week, but also, for example, one day a week. The municipality consults with homing pigeon associations about this in advance. You can apply to the municipality for an exemption if you want to release your pigeons outside these times.

Good to know:

For better and faster processing of your application, we ask at least:
  • The date you want your pigeons to fledge.
  • At what times you want your pigeons to fly out.
  • The number of pigeons you want to fledge.
  • Details of the company, if you are reporting on behalf of a company.
