Social Support Act (Wmo): Finding solutions together

The goal of the Social Support Act (Wmo) is for you to participate in society and live independently for as long as possible.

Do you need help with your daily life due to illness, a disability or old age? And are you unable to arrange this help yourself (or together with family, friends or neighbors)? Then you can contact the municipality for some requests for help. We will then work with you to find a suitable solution. Preferably during a kitchen table consultation in your home. If this meeting shows that there is no suitable solution, we investigate whether you can get support from the Wmo.

It can be pleasant if someone else is present at the kitchen table meeting. Therefore, feel free to ask a family member, friend or acquaintance to attend this meeting. You can also ask for help from an independent client supporter. A client supporter is someone who looks over your shoulder and advises you when making difficult decisions. You can find the Wassenaar client supporters at Stichting MEE (088-7752 000) and Stichting Maatschappelijke Ondersteuning Wassenaar (070-511 22 26).
