Youth membership subsidy

The municipality of Wassenaar has introduced a subsidy per youth member to encourage participation in sports among this target group. To be eligible for this subsidy, the following criteria for youth member subsidies have been established: 

1. When a sports club submits its first application for a subsidy, it must enclose a certified copy of its deed of incorporation or foundation, which must include the articles of association, the internal regulations, and the composition of the board.
2. There are at least 10 youth members (members under the age of 18) who are members of the sports club or the department for which the subsidy is being requested;
3. The number of youth members as of January 1 of the year in which the subsidy is requested is decisive;
4. The applicant shall provide an overview of the number of members with the application;
5. Applications for subsidies must be submitted before April 1 of the relevant year.

In addition, you will need a Chamber of Commerce number when submitting your application. 

* Due to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), when submitting your application, you must state the number of youth members and ensure that you have a corresponding membership list in your own records. The board may ask you to provide a random sample for verification purposes.
