The Electronic Administrative Modernization Act (Wmebv) provides for citizens and businesses to transact their business with the government digitally.

The government is digitizing and more and more laws and regulations are being made to set up digital processes properly. For this reason, the Electronic Administrative Modernization Act (Wmebv) was also created and will come into effect on Jan. 1, 2025.

What does the Wmebv do?

You may send official messages to the government digitally. Consider:

  • permit applications
  • object
  • file a complaint

The government must clearly indicate which digital channels you can use (for example, an e-form or message box).

  • You will get confirmation if you have sent something digitally so you have proof.
  • The government should not ask unnecessary questions in digital forms.
