Self-employment counter Wassenaar

In Wassenaar, there is one central point where entrepreneurs can go with questions and concerns: the self-employment desk of Stichting Maatschappelijke Ondersteuning Wassenaar (SMOW). SMOW now has a good idea of what is going on and what entrepreneurs are concerned about, as they spoke to hundreds of entrepreneurs during the corona pandemic. 

In the middle of corona time, Stichting Maatschappelijke Ondersteuning Wassenaar (SMOW), commissioned by the municipality, organized a call campaign to personally ask business owners how they were doing and what they needed. 

SMOW spoke to a great many entrepreneurs. The interviews covered business management, debt, familiarity with municipal and national schemes, and the entrepreneur's psychosocial well-being. A large majority of the entrepreneurs (70%) indicated that they were familiar with and made use of municipal and national schemes. At SMOW, there is attention and space for personal stories and problems.
