Submit Woo request

The purpose of the Woo is to make government and government information more accessible. Openness of public information is in the interest of the resident. The principles of the Woo fit seamlessly with the core values of the municipality of Wassenaar: environment-oriented, responsible and respectful. The municipality provides a lot of information of its own accord but you can also request disclosure of certain information.

Good to know

Anyone may submit a Woo request.
Your request must be about information from the municipality, such as projects or policies.
The information must be with the municipality and not yet in the public domain.
In your request, specify as precisely as possible what you would like to receive information about.
The municipality basically handles your request within four weeks but sometimes the processing time is extended.
There is no charge for filing a Woo request. However, fees may be charged for making copies.
If information is already public, you cannot make a Woo request for it again.
If you want to reuse information that is already in the public domain (for an article, thesis or on your own website, for example), you do not submit a Woo request but a Who request. Who stands for Government Information Reuse Act.
