Wassenaar municipality seeks temporary wedding venue - join the selection process!
From April 1, 2026, the current wedding hall in Raadhuis De Paauw will be temporarily out of use due to the renovation and restoration of the town hall. During this period, weddings and naturalization ceremonies (ceremony to obtain Dutch citizenship) will of course continue as usual - but at an alternative, temporary location within Wassenaar's municipal boundaries.

The Municipality of Wassenaar is looking for suitable locations within the municipality where temporary official ceremonies can take place. Interested (hospitality) venues or other providers can participate in the selection process.

Important information:
- Rental period start: from April 1, 2026 to December 31, 2028
- Location requirements: public, representative, easily accessible, accessible and appropriate for wedding and naturalization ceremonies
- Selection procedure: consists of two stages
- Phase 1 - Pre-selection: Assessment for quality of site and plan of action for collaboration
- Phase 2 - Award: The 5 best scoring parties from Phase 1 will be invited to submit a financial offer
- Verification visit and Bibob assessment takes place prior to final selection
