Removing moped Kempenaerstraat

Apply administrative coercion for the removal of a vehicle, a moped of the brand Tomos Xtreme, colored black without a valid license plate, parked on the Kempenaerstraat near light pole number 9 in Wassenaar.  

Mayor and aldermen of the Municipality of Wassenaar announce that on the Kempenaerstraat near light pole number 9 a neglected vehicle is parked on the public road for a long period of time. This is contrary to the provisions of Article 5:12 of the General Local Bye-Law Wassenaar 2024. Because the owner of this vehicle cannot be traced in the register of the Rijksdienst Wegverkeer, article 36 paragraph 5 of the Wegenverkeerswet 1994, the moped qualifies as "neglected".

In view of the aforementioned article, we call upon the owner or holder of the vehicle to remove his/her property from the public road in Wassenaar within seven days of the publication of this notice. If the vehicle has not been removed within the period we have set, we will proceed to the exercise of administrative coercion pursuant to section 125 of the Municipalities Act in conjunction with section 5:21 et seq. of the General Administrative Law Act. This means that the municipality will have the vehicle removed. Any costs arising from the application of administrative coercion may be recovered from the owner.
