Notice of Intent to Destroy a Seized Vehicle with License Plate Number VN-882-X

The Mayor and Aldermen of the Municipality of Wassenaar hereby announce that they intend, within seven days of this publication, to proceed with the destruction of the vehicle with license plate number VN-882-X, because the owner did not retrieve the vehicle from the municipal impound lot BRL in Leiden within the statutory 13-week storage period (Article 5:30 of the General Administrative Law Act). The address of the owner of this vehicle cannot be determined.

The vehicle was removed from the public road in Wassenaar for violating Article 5:5 of the Wassenaar General Local Ordinance 2024: leaving a vehicle in a state of disrepair on the public road.

If the vehicle is not picked up by the rightful owner within the aforementioned period, the municipal council will proceed to destroy the vehicle. The costs of towing and storage shall be borne by the rightful owner.
