Letter Voting

If you are 70 years old or older, you can also vote by mail in these House of Representatives elections. Everything you need to cast your vote will be sent to your home. You can mail your vote or hand it in at a drop-off point.

How does letter voting work?

If you are 70 years old or older, you can vote by letter. You will receive 2 envelopes with contents by mail for this purpose.

  1. You will receive the 1st envelope no later than March 3. In this envelope you will find:
    - the voting pass and
    - the questions about the health check
  2. You will receive the 2nd envelope no later than March 11. In this envelope you will find:
    - the postal ballot
    - an explanation of postal voting
    - the envelope for the postal ballot
    - the return envelope to cast your postal vote

Do you still have questions about postal voting? Then you can also call the national information helpline. This telephone helpline can be reached at 0800 - 1351 (open 7 days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.).

You can cast your postal vote in the following ways

  1. By mail as soon as you receive the 2nd envelope. You will post this by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 12.
  2. Drop off at the drop-off point at the municipal office. This will be open on weekdays from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. starting March 10 and continuously staffed to accept the letter envelope, date-stamp it, initial it and supervise it. At the end of each day, the letter ballots are stored in the vault of the municipal office. Are you coming to the municipal office? Then do the health check beforehand.
