One-time grant
As of January 1, 2025, the General Grant Ordinance 2025. More information about the transition from the 2021-2025 grant plan to the new grant policy, the General Grant Ordinance 2025 can be found on the page General Grant Ordinance. The General Grant Ordinance establishes that it is possible to apply for a one-time grant. This is a grant for an activity that is of certain duration and lasts a maximum of four years. The determination of this grant takes place at the end of the project period.
How does it work?
The application for a one-time grant can be made throughout the year
- Organizations submit the application digitally through the website with all requested documentation
- Organizations should submit their application up to 8 weeks before the start of the activity, activity is defined as the entire period in which costs are incurred for the activity including preparation
- The account holder within the municipality will verify that all documents have been attached and ask you for additional information if needed.
The review and decision of grant applications
The college reviews the application and decides on the application within 8 weeks and sends the decision.
Account for the use of the grant/fix the grant
- Organizations submit the application digitally through the website with all requested documentation
- Organizations submit their application no later than 8 weeks after the subsidized activities have been performed
- The account holder within the municipality will verify that all documents have been attached and ask you for additional information if needed.
Review of applications for determination of grant
Grants up to and including €5,000 are usually determined and paid immediately upon award. Please note that it is possible that spot checks are carried out.
For grants in excess of €5,000 up to and including €25,000, the application for determination shall include:
- A substantive report demonstrating the extent to which the subsidized activities have been carried out and the obligations have been fulfilled and making clear the extent to which the intended objectives and results have been achieved
- A financial report summarizing subsidized activities and related expenses and income, or financial statements showing the use of the subsidy
For grants over €25,000, the application for determination includes:
- A substantive report demonstrating the extent to which the subsidized activities have been carried out and the obligations have been fulfilled and making clear the extent to which the intended objectives and results have been achieved
- A financial report summarizing subsidized activities and related expenses and revenues
- Financial statements showing the use of the grant
- A director's statement of final responsibility
- For grants in excess of €100,000 per year, the application for determination shall also include an audit statement on the final accounts, prepared by an independent auditor. Please note that if the college deems it necessary, an audit statement may also be requested for lower grant amounts.
In addition to the above Requirements for accounting for the various grant amounts, there may be additional Requirements in your grant decision. You must adequately address these when submitting the accountability.
The college decides within 8 weeks of receiving the complete application and sends the determination decision.
What do I need?
During the application, you must attach a number of documents. Which documents you need to attach depends on the amount of money you are applying for. Below you can see which documents these are.
Applications for grants up to €5,000 include:
Description of:
- Activities for which grant is sought
- Goals and results sought by the activities to be subsidized and a description of how the activities contribute to those goals
- Extent to which activities are focused on the municipality or its residents and the relationship to the goals or policies established by the municipality
- How the results are demonstrated
You further provide:
- Budget including a cover plan of the costs of the activities for which the grant is sought
- Bank account number and a bank statement or copy of applicant's bank card
If legal entity:
- Recent extract from the applicant's Chamber of Commerce
- If applicable: proof from the Internal Revenue Service of the applicant's eligibility as an ANBI or SBBI
In addition to the above points include:
Applications for grants over €5,000:
- The most recent annual statement or financial statements
In addition to the above, the college may request the following
That the organization demonstrates:
- That other applications for grant or fund applications have been made for which grant funding is sought
- That contributions from individuals and businesses have been solicited for the costs for which grant funding is sought
That the organization:
- Provides insight into the equity of the grant applicant or related legal entities
What to do
You start the application form for a one-time grant by clicking on the 'arrange directly online' button and choosing to apply with DigiD or eRecognition.
- You will go through the digital questionnaire.
- You attach the requested documents.
After submitting the grant application:
- You will receive confirmation of your grant application and can download a copy of your application.
- The account holder will assess whether your application is clear and complete in content; meets the requirements as stated in the Asv 2025 and fits within the available budget.
- Within 8 weeks of receiving the complete application, you will receive the decision from the college.
