Reappointment of mayor Leendert de Lange

July 18, 2025 marks the start of Leendert de Lange's second term as mayor of Wassenaar municipality. Monday morning he took the pledge from Commissioner of the King Wouter Kolff at the conclusion of his reappointment procedure. 

Leendert de Lange: "A fine start to the summer with a reappointment. In the past six years I have had the privilege to grow in this wonderful office in a green, safe and internationally 'special ordinary village'. From a Covid period, to its own civil service organization, elections, a renovated corn mill Windlust, the opening of the Corbulo tunnel, strengthened cooperation with the region to the NATO summit. In all those years I have spoken to many different villagers, shared joys and sorrows and regularly made a difference. Working together with committed people to create a self-confident municipality of Wassenaar. It goes without saying that this will never be finished and I will continue to do so".
