Background redevelopment

In November 2020, the council decided to redevelop the site of the former Den Deyl School. The decision included a number of starting points that form the basis for the redevelopment. The main starting points concern the number of housing units (a minimum of 48), distribution of housing between rental and owner-occupied in the mid-priced segment, preservation of the Hofcampweg 3 monument and sustainable construction.

The college finalized the scope of the assignment for the development competition in May 2022. The starting point is the development framework adopted by the council in November 2021. To this are added: area expansion with Fabritius Avenue and the community center/Deijler House (while maintaining the community center function) and child care (BSO) is added to the program.
