Information for schools

Schools contribute significantly to achieving a sustainable Wassenaar. School boards can take measures on their own initiative to reduce CO2 emissions. The municipality wants to support school boards where possible to take as many measures as possible.
What can you do as a school to become more sustainable?
With small measures it is possible to start saving energy immediately. For the large-scale approach, it is important to understand what savings are possible. The municipality is committed to an early follow-up together with the schools, so that the savings potential can actually be converted into achieved results!

- Behavioral coaching of the team and students (turning off computers, beamers, digital boards, lights, closing windows and doors in winter, heating on setting 2-3)
- Application of energy efficient lighting
- Heating system adjustment
- Applying thermostatic valves
- Applying monitoring
