The Wassenaar Social Team helps you find your way if you need advice, information, support, help or Health . We try to help everyone as best we can. We would like to hear from you whether this is successful. And if not, what could be done better. You can contribute in different ways:

Social Domain Advisory Council

The Social Domain Advisory Council gives advice to the municipality on the topics of Youth, Work and Health. Sometimes the municipality asks the Advisory Council for advice and sometimes the council gives unsolicited advice. The council does this on behalf of Wassenaar residents.

Work and Income Client Council

Do you have contact with municipality about work or money, such as about a Social assistance benefit, going back to work or help with debt? And do you find that contact not pleasant or clear? Then let the Work and Income Client Council know. Send an e-mail to clientenraad@wassenaar.nl.

The Work and Income Client Council does 2 things:

  • The council can tell you which individuals or organizations can help you in your situation.
  • The council collects complaints about the same issue. If there are many, they give advice to the council on how it can improve the situation.

What is the Client Council?

The Client Council stands up for people who are entitled to Social assistance benefit benefits and people with low incomes. The Client Council also provides advice on how the municipality can better implement agreements and rules.

The Client Council meets regularly with the Alderman and is in contact with the City Council.
