A flea market is a market where used or homemade items are offered for sale.

How does it work?

  • If you want to hold a flea market in a building, you need to apply for a flea market permit.
  • If you want to organize a flea market outdoors (public space), you need to apply for an event permit.

What to do

You apply for the permit from the municipality. Please provide the following information with your application:

  • where you want to hold the flea market
  • date of the flea market
  • what time the flea market begins and ends
  • the type of flea market and its size (such as the number of stalls)
  • Whether traffic measures are needed

If you want to play music and/or sell alcoholic beverages at the market, you must apply for a separate permit or exemption.

How long does it take?

You will be notified within 8 weeks whether you will receive the permit.

Objecting

If you disagree with the municipality's decision you can object within 6 weeks.

Fees are not charged for:

The holding of activities, which require a permit under the General Local Bye-Law (APV), and which are organized by local groups, associations and institutions operating on a non-profit and public benefit basis, as evidenced by their statutes.
