Imposition of Administrative Coercive Measures on the Kuyperweg Trailer
Imposing an administrative order to remove a trailer without a license plate parked on the public road “Kuyerweg” in Wassenaar.
The Mayor and Aldermen of the Municipality of Wassenaar hereby announce that a trailer has been parked on the public road on Kuyerweg in Wassenaar for an extended period of time. This violates the provisions of Article 5:6, paragraph 2, of the Wassenaar General Local Ordinance 2024. Since the owner of the trailer cannot be identified in the registry of the National Road Traffic Authority, pursuant to Article 36, paragraph 5, of the Road Traffic Act of 1994, the trailer is classified as “abandoned.”
In light of the aforementioned article, we call upon the owner or custodian of the trailer to remove it from the public roadway in Wassenaar within seven days of the publication of this notice. If the trailer is not removed within the period we have set, we will proceed to enforce administrative coercion pursuant to Article 125 of the Municipalities Act in conjunction with Article 5:21 et seq. of the General Administrative Law Act. This means that the municipality will have the trailer removed. Any costs arising from the application of administrative enforcement may be recovered from the owner. If the owner has not retrieved the trailer within the statutory retention period, the municipality will proceed to sell or destroy the trailer.
