Supervision and enforcement

Supervision and enforcement is carried out by supervisors and special investigating officers.

A special investigating officer (boa) is an official with investigative powers. This means that a boa may investigate certain criminal offenses.

How does it work?

Extraordinary investigators are used by organizations or the police to maintain security.

For example, there are boas who enforce parking policies for municipalities. But game wardens, environmental inspectors and compulsory education officers are also boas. An boa can arrest suspects and may issue fines.

However, a boa is not a police officer.
