Wassenaar Council Members Launch the 'Building Wassenaar Together' Agreement
At the council meeting on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, the four aldermen of the municipality of Wassenaar were sworn in: Laurens van Doeveren (VVD), Rebecca Baart (VVD), Paut Struik (D66), and Wendy Frigge (Lokaal Wassenaar!). Together with Mayor Leendert de Lange, they form the mayor and aldermen of Wassenaar.
On Friday, May 29, the coalition parties presented the cooperation agreement titled “Building Wassenaar Together.” The agreement also outlines the distribution of portfolios, which is as follows:
- Laurens van Doeveren (Spatial Planning | Finance and Economics | Sports)
- Rebecca Baart (Quality of Life | Education | Integration)
- Paut Struik (Health Well-being | Sustainability | Organization)
- Wendy Frigge (Community Engagement | Mobility | Culture)
During the upcoming term of office, they will be working under the “Building Wassenaar Together” partnership agreement. The partnership agreement builds on existing policies, introduces new initiatives, and sets the direction for the 2026–2030 term of office. It serves as the foundation for Wassenaar’s future.
Together, we will continue to build a Wassenaar where people can live and work safely and healthily—both now and in the future.
