Change registration details LRK

Would you like to change the details as they appear in the Landelijk Register Kinderopvang (LRK)? Changes to the details of a child center, host parent agency or childcare facilities must be reported to the municipality in advance. This may include, for example:

  • An increase in the number of child places;
  • a change of phone number;
  • cessation of operation.

How does it work?

The change

  • The holder must submit the change request 8 weeks before the desired change date. The municipality will assess whether an investigation is required.
  • The municipality decides within eight weeks whether the change can take place and be registered.
  • No decision is issued for some changes (such as a phone number). The municipality will inform you when the change is recorded in the LRK.
  • Expansion of child places at a child center? Check prior to the request, if the location complies with other regulations and you can provide a valid environmental permit Fire Safe Use Building.

Check

Your change will be checked against your identity information and your information in the Trade Register. Health therefore that your entry in the Trade Register is current.

Review

If your application is correct and complete and an investigation is necessary, the supervisor (GGD) will contact the holder for an investigation. The investigation will assess whether the desired change will reasonably meet the quality requirements contained in the Childcare Act. Other regulations and/or previous enforcement are also examined. After the supervisor's report has been established, the municipality makes a decision.

If no investigation is necessary, the municipality makes a decision immediately.

If the decision is positive, the change will be registered in the LRK.

Changes at (facilities) host parent care

The host parent must report changes to the host parent agency. The host parent agency will report changes for host parent care to the municipality. Use the forms on this page to do so.

Change additional mediation relationship

If the host parent agency establishes a mediation relationship with an already registered host parent at an address that is already registered, you can request this through a change form. Please note the following:

  • The amendment must be submitted eight weeks before you wish to mediate between the requesting and the host parent. Mediation may not take place before a decision has been issued for this purpose.
  • Mediation is registered per location, and not per host parent. If you are going to mediate for all locations, please send a separate change form for each location. If you are mediating for a location that is not yet included in the register, please submit an application.
  • You cannot submit changes for locations you are not linked to. Linking and changing other data (e.g. number of child places) cannot be done at the same time. Wait for the decision that you are allowed to mediate first, and then request to change the data.

Modification of child places

To change the number of child places, the host parent agency must submit a change form. Please note the following:

  • The amendment must be submitted eight weeks in advance. The expansion may take place only after a positive decision has been issued here.
  • The supervisor may conduct an investigation into whether the change can take place. Here, not only the available space is considered, but also the possibility to offer responsible child care. For example, the supervisor looks at whether it is possible to safely go outside with the number of children. You are responsible for determining the number of children (maximum of 6) for whom quality care is still provided.

Termination of mediation relationship

Don't forget to report the termination of a mediation relationship in a timely manner. The supervision of your host parent agency will look at the host parents registered with you. If there are guest parents associated with you for whom you no longer actually perform work, they may be included in the investigation into the number of mediation staff needed and whether you have carried out the mandatory visits.

Other changes

For some changes (such as a phone number), the municipality does not issue a decision. The municipality informs you when the change is recorded. You notify the municipality of these changes.

Effective date of change

A decision is prepared for most changes. Sometimes preceded by an investigation by the supervisor. The change is only valid after registration in LRK.

Modify data

The municipality may ex officio decide to adjust the data in the register if it does not correspond to practice.
