Budget grant (structural grant)
From January 1, 2025, theGeneral Subsidy Regulation 2025 will apply. The General Subsidy Regulation stipulates that it is possible to submit an application for a budget subsidy. A budget subsidy applies when only one party is eligible for a particular activity and therefore no distribution rules are required. In principle, the General Subsidy Regulation applies to this type of subsidy. Organizations are included in the budget for the specific activity with their name and subsidy amount.
How does it work?
A budget subsidy can be applied for from March 1 to June 1 prior to the year for which the subsidy is requested:
- Organizations submit the application digitally through the website with all requested documentation
- The account holder within the municipality will verify that all documents have been attached and ask you for additional information if needed.
The review of applications for grant funding
- The college reviews the application
- The board will make a decision by October 1 at the latest and send the decision.
The determination of a budget subsidy is based on the General Subsidy Regulation. Information about and an overview of the required documentation can be found under subsidy determination.
In the case of a budget subsidy, organizations must submit their application for approval by March 31 of the year following the calendar year in question (subsidy granted per calendar year) or no later than 12 weeks after the end of the financial year in question (subsidy granted per financial year).
What do I need?
When submitting your application, you must include a number of documents in accordance with the Wassenaar General Subsidy Regulation 2025. See the Asv for the required documentation.
What to do
- You start the budget subsidy application form by clicking on the 'arrange directly online' button and choosing apply with DigiD or eRecognition
- You will go through the digital questionnaire
- You attach the requested documents
After submitting the grant application:
- You will receive confirmation of your grant application and can download a copy of your application
- The account holder assesses whether your application is clear and complete in content; does it meet the requirements as stated in the Asv 2025
You will receive the decision from the board by October 1 at the latest.
