Oak Processionary Moth

In April and May, the municipality will begin the annual control of the oak processionary caterpillar. The municipality is fully committed to proactive biological control. This includes hanging extra nesting boxes for birds and planting different plants and trees and bulbous plants. This ensures the early presence of the natural enemies of the oak processionary caterpillar.
Caterpillars and nests of caterpillars are also sucked away so that the caterpillars cannot spread further. With this type of control, it is important that the protocol of spotting, recording and acting is followed accurately.
