Refresher Course on Driving for Seniors in Wassenaar
Are you 65 or older and do you still drive a car or microcar regularly? On Wednesday, September 30, 2026, the municipality of Wassenaar, in collaboration with the Rotterdam-The Hague Metropolitan Region (MRDH) and Veilig Verkeer Nederland, is organizing a refresher course on driving for seniors.
During this course, participants will refresh their knowledge of traffic rules and signs and gain insight into their current driving behavior. The goal is to support seniors in participating safely in traffic and to help them remain mobile for as long as possible.
What can you expect?
During the course, attention is given to current traffic rules, new traffic signs, and topics such as “The New Way of Driving.” In addition, an eye exam and a reaction test are conducted by experienced specialists.
Each participant also completes a driving skills test of approximately 35 minutes in their own car or microcar, under the supervision of a specially trained driving instructor.
After the session, you'll receive a personalized driving report with practical advice on how to further improve your driving skills. You'll also receive a free, up-to-date overview of traffic rules and road signs to take home with you.
