Temporary above-ground trash containers in the city center

Starting Monday, June 22, a temporary waste collection system will be implemented in the city center. Residents who use the bag collection routes can place their trash bags in temporary above-ground waste containers from Monday evening through Tuesday morning. The containers are intended for household waste. Commercial contracts must be arranged for business waste.

Preventing Litter

This temporary measure helps prevent litter as much as possible. The containers will remain in use until the permanent (underground) waste collection facilities are installed. As soon as we have more information, we will let you know through our usual communication channels.

To minimize disruption as much as possible, we will place the temporary trash containers on Monday in the late afternoon. The containers will be removed on Tuesday morning. There is a permanent container at Den Hoek, which will remain there.

The containers will be placed at the following locations:

• The Event Plaza
• Corner of Luifelbaan and Achterweg

Residents who currently use the bag collection service can choose which container they want to use.

Immediate neighbors will soon receive a letter with more information.
