Which entrepreneur in Wassenaar deserves a special thank-you?
Friday, November 20, marks another Entrepreneurs’ Day. It’s a day when we take a moment nationwide to reflect on the value entrepreneurs bring to our society. Here in Wassenaar, too, we don’t want this day to pass unnoticed. That’s why the municipality, together with our residents, is once again putting a spotlight on a number of Wassenaar entrepreneurs.
Entrepreneurs are incredibly important to our village; they create jobs and, through their knowledge and commitment, contribute to a strong community—from the shopkeeper on the corner to the local tradesperson, and from the restaurant owner to the service provider.
Alderman Laurens van Doeveren: "Everyone has a favorite entrepreneur—someone who makes a difference through enthusiasm, craftsmanship, and dedication. With your vote, you can give that entrepreneur the recognition he or she deserves. So cast your vote and put your favorite entrepreneur in the spotlight."
Who is your favorite entrepreneur?
Do you know an entrepreneur who deserves a special token of appreciation? Then nominate your favorite entrepreneur. Send an email to communicatie@wassenaar.nl by Sunday, November 1, with the entrepreneur’s name and a brief explanation of why you think this entrepreneur deserves to be recognized.
The municipality then categorizes all nominations into the following three categories:
- Retail, Hospitality & Personal Care
- Home Services (landscaping, contractors, painters, plumbing and electrical contractors, Health, etc.)
- Business services (consulting, accounting, IT, notary services, etc.)
One business owner will then be randomly selected from each category and will be surprised during the “Ondernemend Wassenaar” Entrepreneurs’ Theater event on Tuesday, November 17.
This is your chance to thank an entrepreneur for his or her dedication, courage, perseverance, and commitment to our village. We look forward to your nominations!
