There is a lot of information on the Internet about energy-efficient living. That may make it difficult to decide what's best to start with, what your next step will be or how to pay for it. It may help to get advice from an independent expert or to talk to an experienced neighbor.

What can the Sustainable Building Counter do for you?

Green menu for monuments

The municipality of Wassenaar is working with the De Groene Grachten Foundation. They are one of the experts in making historic buildings and monuments more energy efficient. The Green Menu Wassenaar shows you what options there are for making historic buildings more sustainable. But customization remains the key word, especially for protected monuments.

The Green Canals also provides customized advice. You do have to pay for this.

The Green Canals

The Green Canals conducted research last year on home insulation in the De Paauw, De Kieviet, Drie Papegaaien and New Wassenaar neighborhoods. Do you live in one of these neighborhoods? Download the insulation survey and start making your own insulation plan. Use the Green Menu Wassenaar

Do you need additional support or advice? If so, you can request information from The Green Canals at info@degroenegrachten.nl. Please mention in the subject line "Neighborhood Approach Wassenaar" and in the text in which neighborhood you live.
