Conclusion of the Participation Process for the Heating Program

On Monday evening, a group of enthusiastic residents and partners gathered to conclude the public participation process for the Heating Program together with the municipality. Alderman Paut Struik opened the evening, followed by a presentation by the municipality on the feedback collected for the Heating Program.

Alderman Struik: “The residents’ involvement shows that Wassenaar is already making great strides toward sustainability. We want to focus primarily on tailored solutions for each home and neighborhood, on what residents can tackle together, and on the opportunities offered by future technological developments.”

What will the municipality do?

The municipality will finalize the heating program, incorporating the results of the public engagement process. We will then work with a number of enthusiastic neighborhoods to develop neighborhood implementation plans. These plans will outline how, with whom, and when the heating solution will be implemented. In addition, the municipality will continue to support existing initiatives.
