Calling for a chat (SMOW)

With many of us having little contact with others, it is sometimes extra difficult to live alone. Many usual activities have been dropped, eliminating the obvious chat. For this reason, SMOW wants to ensure that people can still have a daily chat.

Call-Mate 

Regular telephone contact for a pleasant chat, a laugh together or to tell your story. This can be done with a call-mate; this can be a volunteer (or another resident) with whom you have a match, for example because you share the same interest.

How does a telephone circle work?

Those who want to participate sign up with us and give permission to pass on their names and phone numbers to other participants. There are between 8 and 10 of them. 

A volunteer calls around a pre-arranged time to participant A, the latter calls participant B and so on. The last participant calls the volunteer again and so the circle is complete. Very easy.
