Assistance, quid pro quo

If you receive Social assistance benefit benefits, the municipality may ask you to give something in return. This means that you must do something in return for receiving your benefit. You do this by doing unpaid work that is useful to society. Together with the municipality, you will discuss which quid pro quo is best for you.

What to do

  • Discuss with the congregation what kinds of activities you could do.
  • If you do not provide the consideration, the municipality may reduce your Social assistance benefit .

Additional information

The municipality must take your personal circumstances into account when requiring consideration in return for capacity. These include age, education, work experience and other relevant circumstances.
