How does it work?

The website www.ikbenhandelaar.nl allows you to sign up and create an account. You do this by entering your information in the form. After submitting this form, you will be registered with the municipality.

Digital Buyers Register

As a buyer or trader, you are required to record your used goods in a certified register. With the Digital Buyers Register (DOR) you record information about the product, the seller and the price, among other things. In the sales section, you record information about which products have been sold to whom.

The DOR reduces paperwork. Inventory management and warehouse controls are also much easier because of the registry. In addition, the register makes it easy to search and sort by species, brand, type or serial number.

You can keep a paper copy for your own records, only it is not valid with the Wassenaar Municipality.

How does the Digital Buyers Register work?

When you enter an item into the DOR that is registered as stolen, the police are notified immediately. This increases the chance of catching criminals. Via the DOR you can also easily check via the site www.stopheling.nl whether an article offered for sale is registered as stolen. The DOR thus better protects you against receiving stolen goods.

Dealer in cars and/or motorcycles?

Do you deal exclusively in cars and motorcycles with license plates? And do you use the RDW's license plate register? Then you do not need to register the vehicles in the DOR.

If you deal in car and motorcycle parts, you do need to register the parts in the DOR.
