Mopeds and/or cars are riding in the bike lane. Can it be enforced?
It is forbidden to ride a moped or car on a bicycle path. With signage, this is properly indicated on all bike paths.
Enforcement of this is difficult because a moped or car must be stopped on the spot the moment it crosses the bike lane.
In places where cars frequently drive on the bike path, the municipality has placed red and white bollards on the bike path. A disadvantage of these bollards is they cause many injury accidents to cyclists. In many places, these bollards have to be removed during the winter period because of the anti-icing vehicles that have to pass them.
