Bicycle missing? You can pick up your impounded bicycle by appointment at the City Hall in Wassenaar. 

Why was my bike removed?

The municipality removes abandoned bicycles and bicycle wrecks that have been left for too long and are in a state of disrepair (the municipality does not remove bicycles that are blocking the way or have been parked illegally for a long time). Abandoned and wrecked bicycles are tagged and removed three times a year as part of a project carried out by the boa's . This does, however, depend in part on available capacity. If other urgent matters arise in the municipality, those will naturally take priority.

Picking up your bike

You can Make an appointment pick up your bicycle at City Hall. To do so, please make an appointment at toezicht@wassenaar.nl. To pick up your bicycle, you will need the following items:

• A valid ID
• An appropriate key; or
• A valid proof of purchase

Cost

You can take your bike after paying the costs incurred. This is €25 per bike towed away.
Please note that fees can only be paid by PIN.
