How can I object to a new traffic rule on my street?
If a new traffic situation is implemented where a commandment or prohibition is established or changed, it usually requires a traffic order to be made.
A traffic decision is published in the digital edition of the Government Gazette and objections can be made within six weeks from the publication date.
Traffic orders are not published in local newspapers, nor are residents' letters about them.
If you would like to be notified if a traffic decision has been made in your area you can subscribe to the government.com email service.
You do this in the following way:
- Go to mijnoverheid
- On the home page, click the green box under 'posts about your neighborhood'
- Click the green box email service
- Fill in the requested information and go through the next steps
