Becoming a Court Supplier

Court Supplier is a royal decoration (predicate). You can request this predicate from the mayor. Your company may then use the Royal coat of arms and add the title "Supplier to the Royal Household".

How does it work?

Only the King can award the predicate Purveyor to the Royal Household. You can receive the predicate on a special anniversary of your company (100, 125, 150 years, and so on). Sometimes you may also receive it for a very special event in the company. You may use the title Purveyor to the Court for a maximum of 25 years. After that, you can apply for an extension.

The Royal House website tells you what you must meet to be awarded the Royal Household Supplier designation.

What to do

  • Submit an application to the mayor of the municipality.
  • Do this in the municipality where your business is located.
  • Clearly explain why your company deserves the Court Supplier designation.
  • Submit your application at least nine months in advance.

You will automatically be notified whether you are awarded the designation of Purveyor to the Royal Household. Usually you will receive the corresponding certificate from the king's commissioner or the mayor.

What do I need?

  • proof of the incorporation date of your company
  • balance sheet for the past five years
  • description of financial expectations for the coming years
