Housing Permit

If you wish to move into a property with a rent below the rent threshold (as of January 1, 2026) of €932.93, you will need a Housing Permit pursuant to Article 2:2.

If you are going to rent a property through an estate agent or a private landlord, you must apply to the municipality for a Housing Permit yourself. Fees are charged when you apply for a permit. You pay these via the digital application form using iDEAL.

If you rent a property from a housing association, they will make sure you get a housing permit.
