Haaglanden Environmental Service

The Haaglanden Environment Service is a regional implementation service that carries out environmental tasks in the Haaglanden region and provides environmental advice on behalf of the municipalities of Delft, Leidschendam-Voorburg, Midden-Delfland, Pijnacker-Nootdorp, Rijswijk, Wassenaar, Westland, Zoetermeer and the Province of South Holland. This includes supervision, enforcement and licensing around environmental issues. 

Reporting a nuisance

If you experience nuisance from a company within the municipality of Wassenaar, for example odor nuisance or noise nuisance, you can take these complaints to the Omgevingsdienst Haaglanden. To do this, you can call 0888 - 33 35 55 24 hours a day. You can also e-mail overlast@ODH.nl.

If you experience environmental nuisance in public spaces or in response to a neighborhood or other person, it is best to report it through the KCC of the Municipality of Wassenaar by calling 14 070.

In most cases, environmental inspections are performed on behalf of the municipality by an employee of the Haaglanden Environmental Service.

Make change

Should you, as an entrepreneur, wish to make changes within your company, you will need to apply for an environmental permit or make a notification via www.omgevingsloket.nl depending on the activity. The processing takes place by Omgevingsdienst Haaglanden. For questions about which procedure to follow, please call 070 - 21 89 902 or email vergunningen@ODH.nl.

Change related to construction

If the amendments also relate to building, for example, then the handling of the procedure will be carried out primarily by the Municipality of Wassenaar. For this you can contact the KCC of the municipality of Wassenaar via telephone number 14 070.

Application of soil

In addition to the environmental tasks, tasks related to the application of soil are also the responsibility of the Haaglanden Environmental Service. Notifications under the Soil Quality Decree are also handled by the Haaglanden Environmental Service.
