Charging stations, electric cars

To improve air quality, Wassenaar encourages the use of electric transportation. After all, electric cars are clean, quiet and economical. There are already a number of electric charging points for electric cars scattered throughout the municipality. There will be more in the future.

The number of electric car owners continues to grow. It is not always possible to charge an electric car on one's own property. Therefore, the municipality aims to provide public charging stations in the municipality.

How does it work?

Are you a Wassenaar resident or work in Wassenaar and own an all-electric vehicle or a plug-in hybrid vehicle? Do you not have the ability to charge the vehicle on your own property? Then there is the possibility to apply for a public charging station. Through https://www.laadpaalnodig.nl you can check the Requirements , see if there is already a public pole in the area and easily submit an application.

The website https://www.laadpaalnodig.nl is a partnership for applying for expansion of public charging poles in seventeen municipalities. The municipality is the client and cooperates with other parties when installing charging stations. Currently, 'ENGIE Infra & Mobility BV' supplies, maintains and operates the street charging stations.

Failures?

In the event of a breakdown, call the fault number: 088 3692914 stating the number of the charging station. The fault service is available 24/7. The fault number is also on the charging station. In many cases, the fault can be fixed immediately, at a distance.
