Dear Reader,

This transfer file was created for anyone interested in the state of the municipality of Wassenaar. After all, the municipality has not been idle in recent years. Independence has been consolidated with a crown-appointed mayor and since September 1, 2021, the municipality also has its own civil service organization again. The local government and the civil service organization work hard every day to keep Wassenaar a nice municipality to live, work and play in. In recent years the independence of Wassenaar has been a priority, and in the future it will also be necessary to pursue a conscious policy to consolidate this position. This file is therefore also a helping hand to the local government to realize this objective.

In this file, you can read what the municipality is doing, where we are as a municipality, what themes are currently alive and what developments are coming towards the municipality. This document has been compiled in close consultation with all colleagues within the official organization. This document provides the new city council in particular with a recent overview of the city's activities and a number of projects. The document is not exhaustive, but ensures that everyone has the same picture. This document offers a good start to four years of council and the negotiations towards a new municipal agreement.
