Application process

Thank you for your interest in working for the Municipality of Wassenaar! Applying is easy: simply click the “Apply Now” button on the job listing page to upload your resume and cover letter.

Acknowledgement of receipt

As soon as we receive your application, you will receive an immediate confirmation. The manager and recruiter will carefully review your resume and cover letter. We aim to contact you as soon as possible, but no later than two weeks.

Calls

During the first interview, we’d love to get to know you. We’re curious to learn more about who you are, your ambitions, your experience, and your perspective on the role. Of course, there will be plenty of opportunity for you to ask questions. We’ll tell you more about working at Wassenaar and the role, and together we’ll assess whether we’re a good fit—both professionally and personally.

After the interview, the manager or recruiter will contact you by phone. You will then be informed whether you have been invited for a second interview or, unfortunately, whether we will not be proceeding further in the process; in either case, we will always provide a clear explanation.

Employment Interview

If we’re both excited after two interviews, we’d love to invite you to discuss your employment terms. We’ll go over your base salary and benefits, as well as everything else you need to know to get started with us.

After signing the employment start-up form and submitting the required documents, you will receive your digital employment contract from HR.

And then the big day will finally be here: your first day on the job at the Municipality of Wassenaar!
