Grant Policy
The new subsidy policy will take effect in 2025. In this policy, the municipality sets out the principles for granting subsidies. Subsidies are not an end in themselves, but a means to achieve a policy objective or a statutory task. The focus is on the activity that receives the subsidy, not on the recipient or the amount.
The municipal executive grants subsidies in collaboration with its residents and organizations. In doing so, it aims to offer stability, but also to respond to current social needs. These policy principles form the basis for the Wassenaar Municipality General Subsidy Regulation 2025, the Wassenaar Municipality Sanctions Policy 2025, and the municipal subsidy schemes.
