Going back to work

The municipality and the UWV can help you find work. They can also offer you other help that will increase your chances of getting a job.

How does it work?

There are several ways to help you.

Training

You can get an education at a school that accommodates your children's school hours. Sometimes they even offer child care. You can also get training part time.

Financial aid

You can apply for financial assistance for expenses related to your reemployment. How much you get depends on your income.

Contribution to child care costs

You can apply to the Tax Office for childcare allowance. The municipality may also give a contribution towards the cost of childcare. For example, if you have a low income.

Work

You can look for work yourself directly. For example, through newspaper ads, the UWV, employment agencies, the Internet or through your own network. You can also re-enter the workforce if you get a subsidized job or do volunteer work.

Job coach

A job coach accompanies people with physical, mental or psychological disabilities to or into a job if they cannot work without support. So you only get support from a job coach when it is necessary.

A job coach can support you for a longer period of time at set times during your tasks. The intention is that you will eventually be able to start working for a regular employer without support.

What to do

Go to a Werkplein near you. This is where the municipality and the UWV work together to help you find work.
