What traffic rules apply in a 30 km/h zone?

The speed limit of a 30 km/h zone is indicated at the edges of the zone by a zone sign. The speed limit applies within the entire zone, up to the end of 30 km/h zone sign. This means that there is not a traffic sign indicating the speed limit after every intersection or on every street.

Within a 30 km/h zone, of course, the speed limit of 30 km/h applies. The intersections are usually equivalent where drivers from the right have the right of way. Bicycle traffic and car traffic usually use the same lane. However, there are

exception situations where at some intersections the right of way is regulated or a separate bike lane is provided.

In some neighborhoods and districts, the 30 km/h zone is combined with a parking prohibition zone. In this case, no parking is allowed outside the parking spaces.
