Work
Survey map of operations
All road works and events of municipalities, counties and the Department of Public Works are listed on a national Map, Melvin.
Work Prinsenweg
From Thursday, September 11 through Thursday, October 2, work will be performed on the sidewalk and bike path (waterfront) along Prinsenweg. The sidewalk tiles will be replaced. During the work, the sidewalk and bike path will be closed. On the bike path on the other side of the Prinsenweg there will be two-way traffic.
Work on Vinkel Avenue
Work will take place on Vinkel Avenue from Monday, August 25, through Friday, October 17. Vinkel Avenue will become a residential street. This means:
- That through traffic is not allowed;
- That pedestrians may use the entire width of the road and play;
- That the speed limit is 15km per hour;
- That parking is allowed only in the designated parking spaces. This results in all paving being at one level and no sidewalks and sidewalk elevations.
The roadway will be closed to traffic for each phase. A maximum of 40 meters in length will be broken up per phase. The Bosrand entrance will be open to local traffic. Traffic wardens will ensure that this entrance is not used as a shortcut. In order to keep the homes accessible to residents and emergency services after 4 p.m., driving plates will be laid on the unpaved sections of Vinkelaan every day after 4 p.m.
Work on sewer and streets Hofcampweg and Burmanlaan.
Hofcamp Road and Burman Avenue are being repaved. The streets are aging and need sewer maintenance, among other things. The work will last from September 2025 through February 2026. Learn more on the project page.
Work on Hoflaan and Herenweg
Work on Hof Avenue and Herenweg will begin on Monday, Aug. 25, 2025. The work is expected to be completed by the end of February 2026. The work will be carried out in phases to minimize inconvenience. Work will start at Herenweg 1 and will be carried out towards the junction with Hoflaan. For all information, please see the project page Renewal of the street work on Hoflaan and Herenweg.
Work on traffic circles Lange Kerkdam and Stoeplaan
At the end of September, the municipality will replace the top layer of the traffic circle Lange Kerkdam - Van Oldenbarneveltweg - Prinsenweg and the traffic circle Stoeplaan - Wittenburgerweg. The closures will be from 30-09-2025 on 1-10-2025, 1 October 2025 on 2 October 2025 and 2-10-2025 on 3-10-2025 each time from 20:00 hours to 06:00 hours in the morning.
