Construction Work Behind the Luifelbaan
Work will begin on Achter de Luifelbaan on Monday, July 6. The roadway will be paved with new concrete pavers. During the work, the road will be closed between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Parking will not be permitted throughout the entire period, even outside of working hours. The work is expected to take approximately six weeks.
Construction Work on the A44
Starting Friday, June 19, various construction projects will be underway on the A44. As a result, the A44 will be closed between the Noordwijkerhout exit (3) and the Burgerveen interchange. Traffic will be rerouted via the Corbulo Tunnel (N434) and the A4. For complete information about the various closures and detours, visit the Rijkswaterstaat website at. The construction work will continue through July.
Work on Eikenlaan
Starting Tuesday, April 28, contractor Meeuwisse will be carrying out work on Eikenlaan. The work will be carried out in four phases and will take approximately four months. The detour will be marked on site.
Hubertus Tunnel work
Between July 27, 2025, and September 2026, the Hubertus Tunnel will be completely closed to all traffic. You can find all the information about the construction work, the schedule, and the detour routes on the City of The Hague’s website at .
