Construction Work Behind the Luifelbaan
Work will begin on Achter de Luifelbaan on Monday, July 6. The roadway will be paved with new concrete pavers. During the work, the road will be closed between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Parking will not be permitted throughout the entire period, even outside of working hours. The work is expected to take approximately six weeks.
Roadwork on the N44 / A44
From 9:00 p.m. on October 9 through 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, the N44 will be closed in both directions between the N14 and Lange Kerkdam.
From 9:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16, through 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17, the N44/A44 will be closed in both directions between Lange Kerkdam and Exit 8a Katwijk.
The detour will be posted on-site.
Work on Eikenlaan
Starting Tuesday, April 28, contractor Meeuwisse will be carrying out work on Eikenlaan. The work will be carried out in four phases and will take approximately four months. The detour will be marked on site.
Hubertus Tunnel work
Between July 27, 2025, and September 2026, the Hubertus Tunnel will be completely closed to all traffic. You can find all the information about the construction work, the schedule, and the detour routes on the City of The Hague’s website at .
