Healthcare fraud
Do you doubt that the right quality of Health is being delivered? Or do you think someone is committing fraud? By people receiving Health , caregivers or PBM budget holders?
Then report this to the municipality
Residents of Wassenaar can receive support through the Social Support Act (Wmo) or the Youth Act. There are certain agreements attached to this. It is important that care money intended for Health goes to people who really need it. If a person or a care provider does not comply with these agreements or if someone makes unjustified use of this support, we call this care fraud.
Examples of possible healthcare fraud
- Having Health paid for (declared) without Health being delivered.
- Delivering poor Health with incompetent staff.
- Requesting or charging (claiming) money for more or different Health than delivered.
- Requesting or providing more Health than needed.
- Requesting (declaring) money for Health that is already paid for in another way.
- Health continue to provide it when it is not needed (anymore).
- Delivering less (good) Health than needed.
- If the resident's safety is at stake.
- An administration that is not in order.
- Being dishonest about a situation so that money or Health can be claimed unfairly.
- Submission of falsified / fabricated information (misrepresentation / misuse of DigiD).
- The person who needs Health misuses facilities. For example, the person does not need domestic help or spends the budget on something other than Health.
- A caregiver or healthcare provider uses a client's DigiD or bank card.
- The pgb representative works for the caregiver or health care provider.
