Assistance for the self-employed

As of Oct. 1, 2021, the TONK (Temporary Support Necessary Costs) as part of the corona support package will be completed. Therefore, it is no longer possible to make use of the TONK scheme.

Support

As of Oct. 1, municipalities can support households in financial distress under the Self-Employment Assistance Decree (Bbz). The government has decided to simplify the Bbz temporarily (through the fourth quarter of 2021) in three areas:

  • Disapplication of the assets test.
  • Making it possible to apply for the BBZ benefit retroactively (max. two months).
  • Determining income and the amount of the BBZ benefit by calendar month (rather than by fiscal year) and providing the BBZ benefit directly for no consideration (and not as a provisional loan).

Effective January 1, 2022, the BBZ will be implemented again without changes.

Request

Municipality Leidschendam-Voorburg also administers the BBZ for the municipalities of Voorschoten and Wassenaar. As of October 1, the BBZ can be applied for by residents of the three municipalities through the website of the municipality of Leidschendam-Voorburg.
